These Few Seeds
And finally, after a year of back and forth, my poetry collection has it’s name! Taken from the last line of the manuscript, These Few Seeds captures so much of what the manuscript is about—love for my daughter, concern about climate, concern about the future, memories of the past, all seen through the lens of motherhood, maturity. It is quite an undertaking, one’s first collection, but looking at it now I can see how writing poetry makes everything I have experienced into a gift: all the difficult lessons are now something beautiful that I have given myself. It is coming out this April, and the launch will be with Print Bookstore in Portland. I am grateful to have things to look forward to.
