Prolific Poetry in Maine
Life in Maine has been fertile for my creativity–many works are being published, I was lucky enough to receive a residency at Hewnoaks Artists’ Colony next September, I am co-editing an anthology of writing about climate change, I have an exciting monthly writing group, and I have readings lined up to keep improving my ability to perform my poems. And of course, writing the poems! It is an exciting time.
The shift really started when Adeline turned 18 months and started to have some autonomy–and I started to feel my own desires rise up to the surface again, desires I recognized as creative longings.
I feel so grateful to be in a place that is so supportive of its arts community. Stay tuned for more work!
