A Poetry Prize and In-Person Readings
Just last month, I recieved news that I won a poetry prize! Sweet Lit’s annual poetry prize, which they should be formally announcing sometime this month. And in-person readings are beginning–the first one is Poets in the Park at Deering Oaks, here in Portland, on Saturday July 17th. I can’t wait o read with poets in person again. I have missed being in community, the energy, the gravity of it. Overjoyed that life is beginning to resume a semblance of its former patterns, but quieter. If there is anything that this time has taught me, its that quiet is welcome.
